BioFollowing my passions have always led me to places and experiences I never planned or expected. My passion for photography has been no different in this respect. My varied interests in life are reflected in my photography. Science, nature, light, people, research and art have all inspired me. I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. I went on to university earning two degrees from Lakehead University; HBOR Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, and a BSc. Natural Science. A long career as a wilderness guide and outdoor educator has taken me all over Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and Japan. All the while, camera was in hand. Regardless of what career or educational pursuits I have followed, photography has followed me. I made the leap from amateur to professional in 2003. Since then, I have worked extensively with the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation and the Faculty of Engineering covering events, on corporate re-branding and promotional material. I have photographed many sporting events and extensively documented 3 extended wilderness canoe expeditions in remote areas of northern Canada ranging from 52-100 days in length. I have published, presented and exhibited my photography. I now live in Whitehorse, Yukon. Combining my life passions and photography, I continue to document extended wilderness expeditions, and photograph sports, events, and people and places. Above all, I try to capture the intimate, unique and telling moments of each experience. I invite you to tour my website. |
